Photographic Competition Summary

Huge congratulations to Jenna Lovegrove, winner of this year's Page Park Photo competition. Jenna's photo will appear on the front cover of the Page Park 2027 calendar.

This morning Colin, FOPP Trustee, presented Jenna with her prize of £125.

The Page Park 2027 Calendar will be on sale £6 per copy at the Emergency Services Fun Day in Page Park on Sat 5th September and many other sales until the end of the year.

Last year we had several people disappointed as we had sold out so please get your calendars early.

Thank you to all of you who entered the competition and especially to the other winning entries that will appear in the calendar.

Also a big thank you to all of the businesses who have supported us by placing an advert, this will help to cover the cost of the printing, and for helping us with selling the calendars up to Christmas. Thank you to last year's winner Kevin who helped with the judging.

The last VERY BIG THANK YOU goes to Colin, who starts the new year organising the Photo Competition, Contacts the businesses regarding the adverts, then collects all the photos and organises the judging and prize presentation.

Now Colin will organise the production of the calendar and the calendar sales which will take us up to December 31st, we are not sure he realised what he was taking on 7 years ago!!!!!

All proceeds will go towards the FOPP Restoration Fund to help us with our project to improve the play areas and sports facilities for all in Page Park.

Photo Competition 2026

Open for entries until 30th June 2026

The Page Park Photographic Competition 2026 is now open for entries until 30th June.

We are asking for Landscape photos of Page Park through the four seasons, Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn.

Also, we are accepting 4 photos per entry these will be judged by the Friends and a professional photographer who will consider the following;
Originality, Appeal of the Photography, Composition, Technical Ability and
Interpretation of the Theme.
Photos should not contain any images of people or children.

The submission criteria is as follows:
A maximum entry of 4 photos per entry/ individual as a JPG image (between 2 and 5 Megabytes) with the following information:
- First and last name.
- Contact phone number
- Address.
- Age (if under16 please supply a name of parent or guardian consenting)
- Where in the park the photo was taken?

Here are the terms of entering the competition
- Entries must be taken in Page Park
- Please note that landscape photos only for this competition.
- Images may be digitally enhanced to remove spots and scratches but not manipulated - with colour etc
Entrants can enhance the picture to make it brighter clearer.
- The competition is open to all including children under 16 with parent or guardian consent - Sending is not proof of receipt. The organisers accept no responsibility for entries not received.
- No photos of persons (the park itself, nature and wildlife within the park only)
- By entering the competition the entrant waives all rights of redress in terms of any copyright infringement which might otherwise be caused by any publication or reproduction of such photo.

The judges will choose the best 12 photos to form our 2027 calendar with the very best photo taking centre stage on the front cover plus a cash prize for the photographer.
The Calendar will be on sale from September 2026 at local businesses around the area and Pop Up Shops in the park.
